ABOUT CLASS

ENVIRONMENT

We have a home-like environment that is warm and charming. Teachers prepare the environment with developmentally appropriate Montessori materials and children's needs. In our spacious classrooms, children can explore the environment freely and focus on Montessori activities.

Outdoor playground time is always children's favorite. Children enjoy climbing the play structure, playing  with sand, play structure, soccer, riding tricycles, and lots more! We carefully prepare the child-centered environment so that the children feel loved, appreciated and valued just as they should.

CLASS CHOICE

Based on age and/or language preference, students may choose from the following classes:

  • Early Preschool Class (Japanese) for 2.5-3 years old

  • Primary Class for 3-6 years old

    • Japanese Immersion Class

    • Bilingual Naia Class (AM: Japanese, PM:English)

    • Bilingual Papa'i Class (AM: English, PM: Japanese)

  • Kindergarten Class for children (over 5 years old on August 31st)

FAMILY STYLE, MIXED-AGE CLASSROOMS

Research shows that children thrive in  settings that allow them to step into leadership positions that nurture each other at different stages of their development and to grow at their own pace. Our focus is on collaboration and independence rather than competition. We as teachers are prepared and experienced to embrace the essence and uniqueness  of each child individually as well as their place in the classroom or group they are learning within.
